Equip: 2 weeks of intensive Wycliffe training

We’re in Orlando, Florida for Equip: a 2-week intensive training course for Wycliffe.  The purpose of Equip is to give us a good understanding of Wycliffe, its history and policies, and to give us tools that will help with inviting people to partner with us (through prayer and finances) in Bible translation.  You can read more about it and how to pray for us while we’re here in our latest newsletter.

We stopped in Salt Lake City on the way and I am amazed at the size of the “Salt Lake”.  I looked at a map and it appears to be about 1/5 the height of Utah: wow!

At one point on the flight, Mikayla really wanted to MOVE.  A flight attendant held her for a bit, but that didn’t suffice, so I got out from my window seat and walked her (well… she walked me) up and down the aisle about 4 times back and forth.  She holds onto our fingers and just goes, it’s cute.  She was the life of the party on the plane: got comments about her smile and her cuteness, and a number of people commented that she was very young to be walking (and she is: she’s only 8 months old, but she’s so petite she can do it).  We’re proud of her.

More posts about the Posts coming soon (including updates from Equip).
