God has been teaching us about seeds…

It started with reading a passage in Isaiah, where it talks about the rain coming down and watering the ground so that it produces seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry (Isaiah 55:10).

Then comes a very familiar passage:

“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

~ Isaiah 55:11 ~

It’s amazing to think about how a few seeds produce an abundance of fruit! In fact, if we were to plant every seed that grew from a single seed, we’d be absolutely overwhelmed with the harvest.

If this is true in the physical sense, how much MORE true in the spiritual sense.

Jesus talked about spiritual seed being the word of God. And when God’s Word finds good soil, it bears 30, 60, 100 times over! (Luke 8; Matthew 13)

Did you know that there are still millions of people, in languages all over the world, waiting to receive the seed of God’s Word in their language. It’s exciting to be a part of helping make that happen!

Ministry Office!!

We’ve also seen other seeds bearing fruit in our lives recently!

God planted the seed of having a ministry office in our hearts over 2 years ago… and with much prayer, hard work, and lots of help from friends (and in spite of delays), it’s finally open for business!

Translating Resources Around the World

About 2.5 months ago, our team sent out an email newsletter for Paratext (the Bible translation software James helps support). We received a reply saying:

“Nous ne comprenons pas le Message.”

(We don’t understand this email.)

Thanks to that simple feedback, and the Lord’s help, widely-used websites for Bible translation and linguistic tools are now available in 10 different languages at the click of a button!

In about 2.5 months, over 940,000 web pages with Bible translation and linguistic training materials and resources have been accessed in other languages!! 🙌

This vastly increases the availability and effectiveness of these resources and software as hundreds of thousands of people can now access them in languages that are easier for them to understand.

House Update! 🏡

We first asked for you to pray about a house for our family over 2 years ago. THANK YOU for praying, the Lord is moving!

He recently impressed upon us to start taking more steps towards home ownership, and we’ve had some exciting developments and God-given connections. It feels like things are falling into place for us to own a home soon. Please continue to pray for the Lord’s clear leading… He opens doors no one can shut! (Rev 3:7-8)

Financial Seeds

We also recently heard about the option for people to invest non-cash assets (e.g. stocks, bonds, real estate, donor advised funds, IRAs, etc) to positively impact our Wycliffe ministry and advance the work of the Kingdom, in a way that also benefits the giver!

Can you imagine… a financial seed that was been planted years ago could be used to help support what God is doing?!

The Wycliffe Foundation specializes in helping people give non-cash assets to a large variety of ministries.

Partnership Update

God has been providing opportunities for us to share about our Wycliffe ministry, and we’ve had five new/increased partners since our last newsletter! We have also learned about a few partners who are no longer able to give, and (as of Sept 27, 2025) we are about $1,730 per month below the budget that Wycliffe sets for us.
