This year has been a fruitful year in Bible translation. God’s Word is advancing all over the globe, and your partnership and prayers have helped make it possible!
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
~ Psalm 19:4a ~
and their words to the end of the world.
There have been more than 40 Scripture dedications (New Testaments, full Bibles, and revisions) in 20 different countries. This represents over 40 million people who now have access to God’s Word in their own language! 🙌 With Scripture in a language and format they understand, these people can hear about the peace on earth and goodwill towards ALL men that is made possible only through Jesus Christ.
Celebrate the work the Lord is doing around the world in this video.
2024 Dedication Celebrations
Throughout our time in Papua New Guinea (PNG), I (James) helped support well over 200 different language groups in their translation work. Several of the languages that I worked with dedicated their Scriptures this year!
Enga New Testament
Enga is the largest people group in PNG, with 370,000 people. Because of the size of the Enga area, the Enga New Testament was dedicated in seven different locations. The governor of the Enga province personally encouraged the people of Enga to read and listen to the Enga New Testament and follow its teachings. 🙌

Kaluli New Testament
40+ years in the making, the New Testament is finally available to the Kaluli people. This rainbow over the village on the dedication day holds a special place in my heart. God IS faithful to fulfill His promises. 🌈

Yalë Scripture Portions
The Yalë translation was started in 1984 (the year James was born). After many years, hardships and trials (including the passing of the two original translators), the Yalë people now have portions of the eternal word of God in their own language. God is good!

Year-End Need & Opportunity
As this year comes to a close, we find ourselves significantly short of the monthly budget that Wycliffe sets for our ministry.
Would you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly partner or giving a year-end gift to help advance the Gospel and the Word of God through the whole earth?
You can learn more about becoming a financial partner on our partnership page.
🙏 Prayer & Praise 🙌
- Praise: For millions of people who have access to God’s Word in their own language.
- Prayer: That every language would have Scripture that speaks to their hearts.
- Prayer: For additional financial partners to join our team.
- Prayer: For God to provide a house for us in WA state! 🏡
- Prayer: For restful sleep for our entire family.
May the blessing of the Lord be tangibly present in your lives this Christmas season and throughout 2025.

🌼🌞 2024 Family Highlights 🍁⛄
As a family, we appreciated building our ministry office, going on family outings, personally experiencing the Lord healing many areas of our hearts, and seeing the Lord bring new levels of peace to our household. These words of Isaiah have been ringing true!
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;”
~ Isaiah 61:1-2 ~
James
James appreciated sharing a sermonette at the Missions Gala, watching the Lord bring heart-level healing to himself and others, and being reminded of God’s faithfulness through rainbow-sightings.

Christina
Christina was published in a devotional and pitched her book idea (The Uncluttered Heart) to a publisher – now the real work of completing her book begins! She also enjoyed hiking and a few trips this year: the beach, Michigan, North Carolina, and the beach again.

Mikayla
Mikayla enjoyed hiking Davis Peak on New Year’s Day, going to Michigan for Halter Happening, and climbing the rocks at Lucia Falls.

Laurel
Laurel appreciated hiking with family on Mother’s Day and sharing at Kingdom Kids at church.

Timothy
Timothy liked skiing with Uncle Evan for the first time, making a really fun mudslide, and building a fort in the woods.

Nathaniel
Nathaniel also enjoyed skiing, playing in his first piano recital, and going to Lewisville Park as a family.

Julia
For Julia, it was special to have ice cream with her mom and dad for her birthday, hold signs for church, and go to Lucia Falls with her family.

Adalynn
This year Adalynn became a Christian! 🙌 She also really liked dressing up as a princess, going to a worship concert, and having a tea party birthday party with her cousins.

Kaylianna
Kaylianna learned to walk (and run!) and being our super-smiley baby.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
May the Lord bless you tremendously this Christmas season and in 2025.
