Hi! This is a picture of me with my teddy bear Butterscotch! I like to play with Butterscotch and my baby dolls and I love to have “pretties” in my hair.

This picture is one that I took all by myself! I love doing things all by myself. “I do it myself! I do it myself! I do it myself!” Mommy sometimes thinks that’s my favorite thing to say. But as I was saying, I took this picture myself and it is a picture of my Gramma Rachie talking to me on Skype. I love to talk with Grandma and Grandpa on video Skype!

And here is another picture I took all by myself…it’s a picture of me! I am still learning how the camera works. Sometimes it helps if I look at the front of the camera while I’m taking a picture, that way I can see what’s going on…helps me figure out how it works. Mommy offered to show me how it works, but I like to figure things out for myself…I learn better that way. Besides, Mommy says this photo has some “artistic flair” and captures how inquisitive I am…that sounds cool.

This is my “softie” bear. You see, I really, really, really like soft things. I like to hold something soft in my hand and rub it on my upper lip when I suck my thumb. In fact, I used to pull my own hair and use that as my “softie”, but now I’m a big girl and I don’t pull my hair out, I just pull “softie” out of this special teddy bear that my Aunt Linda made for me.

You can see that my hair is getting long again.  My last haircut was just before Christmas, 2012.  Finding other “softies” helped me stop pulling out my hair.  I transitioned from:
-my own hair
-to stuffing out of a pillow
-to asking mommy for her hair
-to cotton balls
-to miscellaneous softies I found around the house (mommy didn’t like the ones I found under the couch)
-to fur off my teddy bears
-to yarn pulled from Timothy’s hat, my sweater (see this post for a picture of our sweaters), or Timothy’s blanket
-and have now settled for the special “softies” that Aunt Linda made for me.

Here’s a picture of my teddy bears that I used to get “softie” from.  I just wanted to make their heads match the top of Daddy’s head!

Putting my new “softie” bear to good use.

Mikayla and I like to play “house” and we take turns pretending to be Mommy and Daddy.  Sometimes, I pretend that other things are Mommy and Daddy.  This is a picture of “Daddy”, “Mommy”, and “Baby”.  I’m pointing to “Baby”.  Mommy and Daddy were both very proud that I could pretend like this!
