We emailed our store’s manager to ask if we could put our stuff in their big freezer and he said YES!! He had said if they get dog food with bugs, they just throw it in their freezer. We are grateful for his grace in letting us do this.
Sooooo… all of our stuff from the basement is in a HUGE walk-in freezer at the store (think semi-trailer size)!!! We barely covered the floor one layer deep so there was definitely plenty of space. Originally it had sounded like they didn’t have much room and we’d have to rotate a few boxes at a time, but then they got this extra freezer working so we’re all set. As of this morning it was about -8 F so that oughta do the job. It feels SO good to have it taken care of. We even put the area rug in there. I’ve swept it all out and plan to mop and wipe the walls down with bleach. We’re thinking of doing another bug bomb just to be extra sure, but I don’t know…the bug bombs didn’t really do that great of a job in the first place and I haven’t seen a single bug on the floors or walls – they seemed to just like being in the stuff. Anyway, thanks for all the prayers…God provided an excellent solution so that we don’t even have to worry about re-infestation while we’re gone.
