Visas in Hand!!

What should have taken 3-4 weeks is already done.  Praise God!

When we sent in the last of our paperwork for PNG in mid-March, we didn’t expect to get it back until mid-April. So we were (more than) pleasantly surprised when the passports showed up at our door just 1 week later.

Many of you may remember the nail-biting, faith-building experience we had with our paperwork renewal last time. It came down to the wire with us receiving the passports just 1.5 hours before we left for the airport. (You can read more about that saga here: 2013 Visa Saga.)

We are very grateful that there was plenty of time to spare this time around.

With lots yet to do before we head back to PNG, we are still planning on departing in early May. Traveling across states, timezones, and countries is always interesting. Thankfully, we have a travel agent who is able to help us find good deals for missionaries.

The next significant step is purchasing plane tickets, finishing our “last minute” doctor, dentist, and eye appointments, and packing up our house here in Washington.

Our Family

There’s never a dull moment around the house, or at the park (which our kids love to frequent). We couldn’t help but share some of our recent photos of the kids. They are growing up fast and learning so much.

Prayer and Praise

• Praise: We received our PNG visas back, in plenty of time for us to get affordable plane tickets.
• Praise: Packing is going well, with plenty of help from our church family.
• Prayer: Purchasing our plane tickets.
• Prayer: Packing up our house. We basically need to “touch” each item in our house: do we want to pack, ship, store, or donate it.
