Photo Journal: Three Little Frisbee Players

Here in Ukarumpa (our support center in Papua New Guinea) we have a number of frisbee golf courses to choose from. The kids all enjoy going with Daddy when he plays. They are learning the finer points of the game even at their young ages. Mikayla and Laurel congratulate each other on getting a “hole-in-one” and cheer for each other for good throws. In some of the pictures below you’ll see they are all developing their technique. :-)

Timothy

Timothy is still working on the importance of keeping a good grip on the frisbee. But, his cute smile makes up for any lack in the mechanics of a proper throw.

Laurel cleaning her frisbee

Laurel knows the importance of being sure your frisbee is clean before you attempt a throw, any little grit or water might cause it to slip out of your hand and not fly in the path you intended.

Laurel is winding up for a “hole-in-one” shot.

Mikayla Stretching

Mikayla is stretching before she makes her throw…wouldn’t want to pull a muscle throwing too hard.

Mikayla Throwing

And there it is…her “hole-in-one” shot (anytime the frisbee makes reasonable distance it counts as a “hole-in-one” in their minds). Love this shot where you can just see how much umph went into that throw…you can also see that she is satisfied with her efforts.

If I had pictures of Daddy playing frisbee you could easily see where they are learning their good technique. Whenever new frisbee players come to Ukarumpa (or legendary players return) they often seek out James for a game of frisbee golf.
