Freezer Report

Well, our stuff came out of the freezer today and it was a beautiful, sunny, very hot day (Praise the Lord!!) so we were able to get virtually everything defrosted and dried out. It was a TON of work and a very exhausting day, but we are SO happy that it is taken care of. We spread everything out on sheets in the lawn and hung clothing/sheets/pillows/stuffed animals, etc on the clothes line. We probably had the clothes line loaded 3 or 4 different times and there is a ginormous pile of laundry on our bed that still needs to be folded. At lunch time we ate on the porch and we noticed that while it was sunny and hot and a beautiful day, all around the horizon (360 degrees) there were clouds, but VERY few clouds over us the whole day. However, between 4-5 p.m. we heard thunder and realized that the clouds were starting to close in on us. We were in the middle of packing things up to bring in the house anyway, so we just started hurrying a little more. Thanks for your prayers. We’ve got a long ways to go as far as getting it all organized again, but the bug problem is over and that feels REALLY good!

We were really grateful that we had a roast that needed used before we leave, so that was in the crockpot all day…made for a delicious, easy dinner after a long day of work.
