We have a big bug problem going on.  Well, actually it’s a “little” bug problem, but there are thousands of them in our house!

We got a “good” deal on dog food at a store in country but it turned out that the “good” deal was because the “best by” date was about 16 months ago!  Needless to say, there were bugs in the dog food.  I thought they were just bigger bugs and wouldn’t spread, so put it downstairs in our storage room.  BIG mistake!  There were other bugs (or eggs) that I didn’t see and now they are ALL over our storage room, and have moved into the upstairs.

We did 10 bug bombs in our house yesterday.  They killed a number of cockroaches, etc, but a lot of these little guys were still alive.

We had our small group come over to our house last night and pray for God to work, but this morning, they are still alive (it’s really hard to tell if more are dead because they are so small).

I’ve included some pictures here in case you’re interested (it’s kinda yucky), but more so in case you’ve seen/dealt with them before. Somebody described them as dust with legs: that’s about how big they are.

Our next step is to contact housing and have the whole house fumigated with more powerful stuff, which means moving out for a few days.  That would be another huge hassle, and it sounds like we’d have to open everything up (again) and then wash stuff down after (again: Christina washed practically every dish we own yesterday).

We’re leaving in almost exactly 1 month and REALLY don’t need this right now.  And this comes on the heals of finding we had 2 gas leaks (1 was fixed, the other is still minor), our freezer breaking and working again, a faucet breaking so it just runs unless you get it “just right” (which means we could drain our drinking water if we’re not careful), and Christina having what looks like Giardia.  She’s feeling much better, but this is a really hard time for us with so many things going wrong.  But we’ve seen Christ at work in our hearts/lives through this, so we praise Him for that.

Please pray we could deal with these problems quickly and effectively.
